conversations with artists

Performans oporu

The book Performans oporu [Performance of Resistance] has the form of a spoken history, i.e. it is based on personal experiences and opinions. It is a series of interviews conducted between Agnieszka Sosnowska and outstanding Polish artists and activists: Ewa Partum, Henryk Gajewski, Janusz Bałdyga, Zbigniew Libera, Waldemar Fydrych, Krzysztof Skiba and Udi Edelman, and Omer Krieger. Speaking of their experiences from the times of the People‘s Republic of Poland, they often shed new light on actions carried out years ago, problematize and undermine the concept of resistance performance, and ask questions about the possibility of creating engaged art and the sense of radical gestures in the times of the People‘s Republic of Poland and modern Poland.
