Action is Primary
With Action is Primary Maria Stokłosa gives up the idea of creating a closed-form show. The starting point for her here is continuous development of body motion improvising, which changes depending on particular venue, time, audience and energy, both before and during the performance. The project began back in 2015 when Maria Stokłosa was invited by the Philadelphia-based artist Meg Foley to cooperate on the development of the Action is Primary practice. Action is Primary is a performance that will never be premiered or will never be the final product. Its strength, resulting from the continuous negotiation of its identity, is the ability to transform, in which the only constant is the constant change of attention.
