Contemporary Art Movie
Contemporary Art Movie (2014) is a series of 5 films addressed to young people, students, teachers, animators as well as anyone interested in art.
The idea to make the films came as a response to the needs of students and teachers in expanding their knowledge on contemporary art. Each episode is devoted to a different discipline of art and also acts as great material in aiding teachers to carry out their classes on selected topics. The films themselves can become a kind of script forvof a lesson; they contain questions that can help the students remember the most important topics and information as well as summary tasks allowing students the opportunity to consolidate their knowledge in a practical and creative way.
For the more general viewer, the films can perhaps inspire to venture out on a deeper exploration of contemporary art.
Individual episodes contain definitions of selected art disciplines, examples of those works and activities, and statements from critics and artists representing that given discipline. They also present unique archival materials illustrating both selected artists' works as well as performances.
