klub zaproszenie is an independent curatorial initiative dedicated to presenting experimental and ambient music (and, occasionally, dance music) that, in the view of the series' curators, remains underrepresented in Poland. Run for the past three years by DJ pongifani and producer Staś Czekalski, the series has attracted audiences across fourteen events held in Warsaw's music and art spaces, both independently and in collaboration with the Mondoj label and the community-based Radio Lola.
The upcoming event at Ujazdowski Castle will feature three live performances. American producer music lovers anonymous (Zach Howenstein) will perform as a duo with Staś Czekalski. Together, they will present new compositions alongside reinterpretations of tracks from their collaborative cassette, released earlier this year by the Portraiture label. The concert marks their first live performance together following a period of remote collaboration on songs that reflect their shared musical interests.
Also performing that evening will be Portuguese producer Usof, whose work explores a technical approach to ambient music through production techniques inspired by dub. He is a co-founder of the Lisbon-based event series Living Room and the Surf label, both focused on experimental electronic music.
The evening will also include the first-ever live performance by Polish producer juleryk, whose lo-fi compositions evoke dreamy, nostalgic television soundtracks.
