Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art Library Terms and Conditions
  • 1. The library collections are available on site in the Reading Room.
  • 2. Visitors have free access to the book collection in the Reading Room.
  • 3. Only Library employees have access to the collections located on the Mezzanine.
  • 4. In order to use the Reading Room, visitors must obtain a Library Card from a Library employee after presenting a valid proof of ID. Visitors wishing to receive a Library Card are required to sign a document stating they will comply with the Terms and Conditions of the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art Library and consent to the processing of their personal data (Appendix to the Regulations).
  • 5. Visitors can access Library resources via a digital catalogue.
  • 6. After selecting an item from the catalogue and writing down the reference number, please contact the librarian on duty, who will provide the indicated publication. If necessary, the librarian can provide help in finding the required materials.
  • 7. Visitors are not allowed to remove library materials from the Reading Room.
  • 8. In the Reading Room, Visitors can use their own books and magazines, provided they report this fact to the librarian.
  • 9. Visitors are not allowed to eat or make phone calls in the Reading Room. Silence is required.
  • 10. Visitors who violate accepted norms of behaviour and social rules, behave aggressively, are drunk or otherwise intoxicated, neglect hygiene or do not comply with the rule of law will be refused entry to the Library.
  • 11. Visitors may use shared computer equipment and access WIFI in the Reading Room.
  • 12. Visitors may only use Reading Room computers for academic, educational and informational purposes.
  • 13. Visitors are not allowed to alter the computer hardware configuration, install their own software or applications.
  • 14. Visitors are financially responsible for any damage to Library materials and equipment.
  • 15. In the event of losing or damaging Library materials, Visitors are obliged to replace the items in question, and in case of equipment to cover the costs of repair or replace the damaged equipment.
  • 16. The Library is not responsible for items/property left behind by Visitors.
  • 17. The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art Library does not offer reprographic services. Visitors are allowed to photograph Library materials without using flash. Materials may be copied only in accordance with applicable law, in particular the Act on Copyright and related rights.

    • 1. The administrator of personal data under the provisions on the protection of personal data is the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art with its registered office in Warsaw (00-467), ul. Jazdów 2.
    • 2. The appointed Data Protection Officer of the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art can be contacted via email: iod@u-jazdowski.pl.
    • 3. In order to obtain an Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art Library Card, visitors are required to provide personal data, including name and last name, telephone number, e-mail address, and residence address, which will be entered in the database of the Library.
    • 4. Personal data will be processed in order to carry out statutory activity, mission and tasks of Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art on the basis of the Data Protection Act of 10 May 2018. (Journal Of Laws, 2019, item 1781) hereinafter referred to as the Act, the Regulation of the European Parliament and the EU Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/ EC (hereinafter: GDPR), i.e. consent the data subject (Articles 6 and 13).
    • 5. The recipients of personal data may be: suppliers of IT systems and IT services, entities providing the Museum with accounting services, debt recovery, legal services, and bodies authorized by law to receive personal data.
    • 6. Personal data will not be transferred to a third country.
    • 7. You have the right to access personal data, the right to request correction (revision) of personal data, the right to request the deletion of personal data, the right to request a restriction to the processing of personal data, the right to transfer personal data, the right to withdraw consent to the processing of personal data. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of the processing of data that was made on the basis of consent before its withdrawal.
    • 8. If you believe that the Data Administrator's processing violates the provisions of the GDPR, you have the right to file a complaint with the President of the Office for Personal Data Protection
    • 9. Providing personal data is voluntary, but necessary for the provision of library services. Refusal to provide data will result in being unable to access Library services.
    • 10. Personal data will not be processed in an automated way, including profiling.
    • 11. When inactive for a period of 24 months, the Library card will be removed from our records along with personal data.
