Waste No. 4 Two Islands

directed by Jan Ijäs, Finland 2013, 6'

Waste No. 4 Two Islands

The two islands of the title are New York's Staten Island and Hart Island. The former was once home to the largest landfill in the world, while the latter is still the site of a public burial ground for the homeless, the unclaimed, the abandoned and all those who cannot afford a private funeral.
