Awarded at the Gdynia and Trieste film festivals, this sci-fi film envisions a future of the world in the face of global catastrophes and evolving artificial intelligence.
The Last Spark of Hope tells the story of Ewa, who, in a post-apocalyptic reality, struggles not only to survive, but also to cope with severe loneliness. The long-lasting feeling of isolation is, however, only one of her problems. The tragedy begins when, due to an absurd situation, a conflict arises between her and her only companion, a robot. She has to fight for survival with the machine equipped with artificial intelligence, which becomes a greater threat to Ewa than the surrounding world.
The Last Spark of Hope has already won the Méliès d'Argent Award for Best Fantastic Genre Feature Film at the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival in Italy, an honourable mention in the Microbudget Film Competition and the Award for Climate Film at the Gdynia Polish Film Festival.
