Mateusz Kula is the Winner of {Bank Pekao Project Room} 2017 Award for Excavations exhibition. Cezary Poniatowski received Second Prize for his solo show Compost. Bracia [Brothers] received Special Prize awarded by Małpeczki who hosted {Bank Pekao Project Room} 2017 Gala.

Ten solo exhibitions of young artists were on view from January to December 2017 at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. In the beginning of 2018, an international jury selected two most interesting shows. The winners were announced on January 19th.

- Throughout the year, U–jazdowski showcased video works, performances, sculptures, painting, photography, as well as light and sound site-specific installations of nine young artists and one artistic duo: Małgorzata Michałowska, Mateusz Kula, Cezary Poniatowski, Anna Orłowska, Bracia, Stach Szumski, Marta Hryniuk, Natalia Janus-Malewska, Kamil Kukla, and Zuzanna Czebatul.
- {Bank Pekao Project Room} is a project of Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art and Bank Pekao dedicated to promoting young artists before their solo institutional debuts. Since 2012, it offers professional collaborative opportunities through a premiere exhibition, allowing for the production of new works as well as an artistic experiment. This year, for the first time, two artists were awarded prizes. The winner of the Main Prize, Mateusz Kula, received 20,000 PLN and the winner of the Second Prize, Cezary Poniatowski, received 10,000 PLN. The exhibitions were judged by Mirosław Bałka, Krist Gruijthuijsen, Małgorzata Smagorowicz, Jarosław Lubiak and Paulina Wrocławska.
- The evening during which the prizes were awarded became, in turn, a chance for an artistic experiment. Together with Małpeczki (Maria Magdalena Kozłowska and Maria Toboła) and the guests invited by them, the public had a chance to look, this time not into the studio, but rather inside the head of an artist in order to view their creative process. The road from an idea to its implementation and the adventures, torments, doubts and revelations awaiting it became the subject of this inevident gala. As the hostesses had assured: "A sweet reward awaits those who are ready for real trouble." Playing at the after party – holiday inn and portento.
