Sculpture in Search of a Place

In the cold courtyard, there is an unidentified object that can be set in motion with the touch of your hand or foot. It is low, has six little wheels, and moves at your fancy. Sculptures by twelve participants and two of the workshop's organizers were placed on it.

The kinetic exhibition titled Sculpture in Search of a Place is the finale of two days of activities carried out as part of the Koło rzeźbiarskie (Sculpture Circle). The constellation of works is a material trace of the event during which we exchanged knowledge and acquired new resources. It was also an opportunity to meet, talk, and form relationships. Finally, we not only sought a place for sculpture but also for ourselves, both in the broader field of visual arts and in the legacy of artistic sculptors who created before us.
