Jury of this year edition of Polish Graphic Design Awards granted the award to Jakub de Barbaro for the graphic design of Alex Cecchetti artistic novel Tamam Shud.

The award was granted on 9 June 2019 in Warsaw. The event accompanied European Design Festival and was created in cooperation with European Design Awards.

This is already the second prize for the author of the graphic design of the novel, after special mention in The Most Beautiful Books of 2018 competition organised by the Polish Association of Book Publishers.

Tamam Shud was realised as part of the artistic project Novel as Fantasy realised at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art in 2016 and 2017, curated by Joanna Zielińska and David Maroto (The Book Lovers). Tamam Shud is an effect of a series of episodic performances and an exhibition comprising guided tours, poetry seminars, synesthetic piano concerts, tarot sessions and dances on river stones. The main theme of the book is an investigation led post-mortem by a homocide victim.
