The library is located In the Nordic Hall on the ground floor of the Ujazdowski Castle. It is open to anyone interested in culture and, above all, contemporary art. It is a perfect space to relax, conduct academic research or simply broaden one’s interests. The largely unique book collection counts nearly 20,000 volumes. It includes exhibition catalogues, aritsts’ monographs and publications on art history and culture. The wide range of Polish and foreign magazines – such as Afterall. A Journal of Art, Artforum, Art Monthly, Art Review, Flash Art, Frieze, Mousse, Szum – provides access to information about the latest events and trends in the visual arts. There are also computer stations and Wi-Fi.
Before visiting the Ujazdowski Castle, please read the guideline for safe use of the library. All visitors must use hand sanitiser and disposable gloves. In line with the National Library recommendations, we follow a three-day holding period for all returned publications before they are loaned out again.
