Guided tour of installations and artistic projects around Ujazdowski Castle based on A walking guide to outside-the-box art project

The Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art invites you to a guided tour of installations and artistic projects around Ujazdowski Castle, based on A walking guide to outside-the-box art project. Educator Dominika Gęba will talk about the works located in Ujazdowski Park and the context of their creation.

About the guided tour:

A walking guide to outside-the-box art is a project that has collected most of the interesting facts and artistic objects inside and around Ujazdowski Castle on one map. During a walk around the green, historical Jazdów, you can learn why the sundial is located inside one of the towers, where the Oligocene water source came from in a place where there was never such a source, and is there a place around the castle where it is advisable to shout, or maybe something was left in the Castle after Yoko Ono's Fly exhibition?

About the project:

The Centre for Contemporary Art has been located in Ujazdowski Castle for over 30 years. During these three decades, many exhibitions, activities and artistic projects have been carried out within and outside the walls of the institution. Some of them took place in non-exhibition spaces, often not obvious. Remnants of some artistic interventions are still visible in the park, others remain hidden in the interiors of the institution. Some of them have become a permanent part of the castle space. There are also those that have left only traces of their presence, and still others exist only in the memory of people associated with the Castle often distorted, undefined, blurred. As a result of meetings, workshops and several months of work with archives, an alternative guide to the objects gathered around Ujazdowski Castle was created. A walking guide to outside-the-box art is an attempt to reconstruct artistic interventions, restore them, and reinscribe them in the memory of the place.

About the series:

Within the series {All in one...} each exhibition can be viewed multiple times each time from a different perspective: curator, artist, educator, volunteer helping to implement the exhibition, architect, psychologist, journalist, choreographer, linguist and many others. There can be an infinite number of perspectives, and the only limitation is the duration of the exhibition.
