A new art bookshop is opening soon
An art bookshop is an essential part of any cultural institution, and the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is no exception.
The concept for the new bookshop responds to the needs of the artistic community, reflects the expectations of our audiences, and aligns with the new programme of the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art. We regard books as an important medium for presenting and analysing contemporary art.
In the new bookshop, you will find, among others things, photobooks, artistic zines, publications on art, exhibition catalogues, books produced during art residencies, art criticism, as well as fiction and non-fiction titles related to the activities and mission of the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art.
The interior has been designed by architect Maciej Siuda and artist Katarzyna Przezwańska.
A variety of events are planned, including art book fairs and meetings with authors, publishers, and designers.
