- The Banshees of Inisherin tells the story of two friends who have known each other since they were children: Pádraic (Colin Farrell) and Colm (Brendan Gleeson). The film is set on a picturesque island west of the Irish coast. One day the men’s friendship comes into question when Colm suddenly decides to end it. Surprised, Pádraic tries to understand what has happened and regain contact with his old friend. He is supported by his sister Siobhán (Kerry Condon) and an acquaintance named Dominic (Barry Keoghan). Unfortunately, Pádraic’s efforts come to naught, and an impassive Colm is even more determined to end the unwanted relationship. In desperation, he throws an ultimatum, followed by a series of shocking events from which there will be no turning back…
