Each of the three chapters is set in the present day, in a different country: FATHER takes place in the northeastern United States, MOTHER in Dublin, and SISTER BROTHER in Paris.
Jarmusch’s film is a collection of subtle, humorous, yet gently melancholic portraits of human character. The cast includes, among others, Cate Blanchett, Adam Driver, Tom Waits, Vicky Krieps, and Charlotte Rampling.
