Bronek Budny is a young, talented photographer who dreams of a great career. The opportunity presents itself quickly: as a junior agent of the communist Security Service, he is assigned the task of invigilating a young bishop from Cracow, Karol Wojtyła. However, the task proves to be a real challenge that makes Bronek go deep into a world of dangerous moral compromises, lies and dark secrets. The surveillance, turned into an obsession, forces him to make decisions that lead to fatal consequences and make him confront what he has been running away from all his life.
The film was part of the Main Competition at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.
