We present you three excellent thirties: the revelation of this year's festival in Cannes, young and incredibly talented Aleksandra Terpińska and her movie The Best Fireworks Ever [Najpiękniejsze fajerwerki ever], sensational Grzegorz Damięcki in 60 Kilos of Nothing [60 kilo niczego] by Piotr Domalewski – the director of the best Polish movie of 2017, Silent Night [Cicha noc], and last but not least American Dream [Amerykański sen], which charmed movie-goers at the Warsaw Film Festival and received the Audience Award.

A cold morning in an opencast ore mine. Krzysztof stars his first day at work as a manager. In order to survive in an environment dominated by physical workers, in which he is clearly out of place, he intends to lead with a firm hand. However, when one of his employees falls victim to an unexpected accident, Krzysztof’s moral principles will be put to the ultimate test. Our protagonist will have to learn that it is easy to hold firm in favourable circumstances, but it is much harder to stand up in the face of evil when the consequences may be tragic.
