- Patricia (Haley Bennett) arrives at a country hotel in Cornwall. On arrival she meets her ex-husband (Sam Riley), who manages the place with his girlfriend. The accidental encounter becomes an opportunity to confront the past: the ex-couple relive both the long-forgotten feelings on which they built their relationship and the misunderstandings that led to their break-up.
- The intimacy of the film and the theatrical limitation of time and space allow for a rare, almost cosy perspective, complemented by deep, nuanced acting.
- The world premiere of She Is Love took place at the BFI London Film Festival.
