Passages is a story of contemporary relationships for adults only, taking place in multicultural Paris between three lovers caught up in a risky game of desire. European cinema star Franz Rogowski, Ben Whishaw, famous for his leading role in Perfume, and Adèle Exarchopoulos, known for Blue Is the Warmest Colour and The Five Devils, form an erotic triangle in Ira Sachs’ acclaimed drama, where sex and feelings blend into an explosive mixture.

As befits Paris, the revolution begins in a café. Celebrating the end of a shoot, filmmaker Tomas (Rogowski) meets Agathe (Exarchopoulos). He plunges into the new affair without hesitation, while loyal, tolerant husband Martin (Wishaw) awaits him at home. Seeking personal fulfilment and emotional boost, all three explore their bodies, feelings and boundaries. Each of them will face questions for which they are not ready. Can passion go hand in hand with the need to start a family? Do we form relationships out of love for someone, or out of love for ourselves?
