Meeting with Steffen Köhn – anthropologist, film-maker and coordinator of Visual and Media Anthropology studies at the Freie Universität in Berlin
-
{Research-led filmmaking} is a series of screenings exploring the area between experimental documentary cinema and scientific research.
-
The event opening our project will be held on Wednesday, April 25th, at 7 p.m. Its subjects will be visual anthropology and an institution which is one of the major driving forces behind its development: the Visual and Media Anthropology at Freie Universität in Berlin. Our guest, Steffen Köhn PhD, anthropologist, filmmaker and academic course coordinator, will speak on what visual anthropology is, and what obstacles need to be overcome so that modern anthropological films can be made.
