According to Polish critics, this cinematic tale could easily be an adaptation of Joanna Kuciel-Frydryszak's bestselling book, Chłopki (Peasants).
- On a single farm in Northern Germany, at different points throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, four girls grow up: Alma, Erica, Angelika, and Lenka. Although separated by time, each experiences similar emotions—first love, rebellion, and family tensions. Their stories intertwine, revealing secrets that have remained hidden for years.
- The film is directed and co-written by Mascha Schilinski, known for her unique directorial style and deeply emotional portraits of women. The film received Gotham Award nominations in two categories—Best Original Screenplay and Best International Feature—and is Germany's official candidate for the Academy Awards.
