“I’m not into censoring anything or anyone for any reason, even if I find it a bit shocking.”

Miriam Elia, a British artist of Jewish origin, taking part in Poltical Art exhibition, spoke out against censorship and the removal of Dan Park’s works during a press conference proceding the opening of the show:

“I’m not into censoring anything or anyone for any reason, even if I find it a bit shocking. (...) At the end someone can find my work very shocking or offensive, but it doesn’t mean it should be taken down.”

She also encouraged to talk about the message behind Swedish artist’s works and to try to understand the context in which he creates.
