This Room Wants

in Zlote Tarasy

  • We are please to invite you to experience the effects of the AUT/ART project carried out in 2020 as part of the educational programme at the Centre for Contemporary Art Ujazdowski Castle in cooperation with the SYNAPSIS Foundation.

    • During the project, a group of adults on the autism spectrum took part in creative workshops led by the curators Aleksandra Rajska and Anna Zielony, designers Matylda Halkowicz and Marta Szostek, choreographer Monika Kiwak, and composer Patryk Zakrocki. The objects presented at the exhibition were created as a result of this collaboration.

  • For people on the autism spectrum and highly sensitive people, contact and interaction with public space can often be a difficult experience. Because of this, every Wednesday from 17:00 to 19:00 during the exhibition This Room Wants in Złote Tarasy, the music and announcements will be muted. In this way, we want to support people on the autism spectrum, as well as all highly sensitive people, and draw attention to difficulties associated with the accumulation of stimuli that they have to deal with on a daily basis.

  • The exhibition can be viewed during the opening hours of the Złote Tarasy shopping centre:

    • Monday-Saturday: 9:00-22:00

    • Sunday: 9:00-21:00

  • Admission is free of charge.
