Piotr Kmita – Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art

Piotr Kmita 

(born 1981) – graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw. In his creative work he employs various formal means (painting, graphics, installations), which he uses to comment on a variety of issues, particularly on the artist’s role in the contemporary world. He confronts the influential figures of the art world through his irony filled implementations. In 2012, he was awarded the WARTO prize by Wrocław’s edtion of “Gazeta Wyborcza.”
