Alicja Bielawska The Edge of the Vessel at the Height of My Mouth
- Artist Alicja Bielawska sits down with Bored Wolves publisher Stefan Lorenzutti to discuss their collaboration on Bielawska’s new artist’s book The Edge of the Vessel at the Height of My Mouth (published by Bored Wolves). The conversation will range across Bielawska’s kaleidoscopic practice, vessels drawn and/or kiln-fired, poetry and bookish belief, and the Warsaw atelier in which Vessel began to take shape.

- Alicja Bielawska’s artist’s book The Edge of the Vessel at the Height of My Mouth (Bored Wolves, 2025) gathers together Bielawska’s colored-pencil drawings of jugs, vases, vessels, joined by poetry and prose fragments about jugularity in her ceramics work—part of a constellated practice melding sculpture, installation, textiles, ceramics, and, always, drawing.
- With self-animating pairings of two to four vessels contoured and contouring, embraced and embracing, Bielawska explores variations of intersection, glancing/grazing, what-contains-what, and flatness rising into the sinuous shaping of volume, sometimes incorporating grids radically rippling.
