  • The Kazimierz Malewicz Art Award was established in 2008 by the Polish Institute in Kyiv and the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art as a joint PolishUkrainian project. Its patron, Kazimierz Malewicz an avant-garde artist of Polish descent born in Kyiv serves as a symbolic bridge between the two cultures. The Award remains a platform for dialogue and artistic exchange in times of profound social and political transformation.
    • The key innovation in this year’s edition is the establishment of the Council of Laureates, composed of previous winners of the Award. This new body aims to strengthen the project’s independence.
