gathering

in solitude and togetherness

Presentation of the work of artists from the Solitude Exchange Network
  • Seven friends will meet again in yet another castle. Recently, they spent three months together in Solitude. This time, only one person knows the place where the others are going. What all of them know is that previously they came only to focus on work, and they left as a community.
  •  It will soon become clear to those who read this, that in the castle spaces, with micro and macro gestures, they will recreate visual, sound, olfactory, gustatory and physical impressions created in solitude and togetherness. They packed the results of their work in the suitcases and set off for the meeting place.
  • The meeting place has no intention to be an exhibition, performance or presentation. Instead, it will be a place for practicing community, exchange and care, an individual and collective experience of an artistic residency.
    •
    • On Thursday 27th, in the exhibition space of Ujazdowski, artists from the Solitude Exchange Network will gather to present the results of their residency at the Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, in the autumn of 2024. The event at Ujazdowski Castle will be an opportunity to meet the artists and representatives of residency programs from Central and Southern-Eastern Europe.
