Can Altay
Can Altay’s artistic practice, which includes the outskirts of architecture, art, design and theory, usually concerns the taking over of space, social relations and forms improvised by residents within urban structures. Altay creates multimedia installations that document archives of phenomena of daily life.
The artist’s stay in Warsaw overlaps with the DIVERÇITY. LEARNING FROM ISTANBUL planned in september 2010 to be implemented as part of the My City project. The My City program is prepared by the British Council in cooperation with Turkish partners Anadolu Kultur and Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Center. My City is a cultural project co-financed by the European Commission and the British Council.
