Gwen van den Eijnde
studied for his master’s degree with Edith Dekyndt in the Visual Arts & Textile Department at the Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg and participated also in the Water Mill Program in New York. Currently, he works as an artist and costume designer. In his work, he develops a personalized theatrical vision creating sculptural ensembles that he wears himself during performances, such as for example in Cérémonial, a performance presented at the Palais des Fêtes in Strasbourg or Der Hippogryph (Munich, 2009). He collaborates with costume ateliers (such as Caraco-Canezou in Paris, German Opera in Germany) but also with individual choreographers, video artists, photographers.
