Oscar Bianchi (Italy/Switzerland)

Oscar Bianchi

As a composer, Oscar Bianchi moves within the realms of new music. Bianchi’s pieces are characterized by refined drama, rich texture and mature musical imagination. He is the winner of the first prize in the prestigious Gaudeamus composers competition. Bianchi’s education includes studies at Milan’s G. Verdi Conservatory (composition, directing, choral and electronic music), as well as other institutions (incl. IRCAM in Paris). Despite his young age, leading contemporary musicians such as the ICTUS Ensemble (Matra), Klangforum Wien (Anahata Concerto) or Ensemble Moderne (Vishuddha Concerto) perform his compositions. www.oscarbianchi.com
