Roland Roos
Swiss artist Roland Roos began his residency in Warsaw by actively seeking out broken elements within the city space, such as a broken window or crooked street sign. As part of the utopian FREE REPAIR project begun several years ago, the artist intends to independently repair 100 elements in our surrounding reality. Considering the bad condition of Warsaw’s municipal infrastructure, the city seems an ideal place to finalize this project. Taking advantage of freezing temperatures, Roos is also constructing a boat made of ice on which he intends to cross the Vistula River. www.rolandroos.net
