residency: July—December 2025
Oz Oderbolz (Switzerland)
- born in 1988 in Lucerne, lives and works in Zurich) works transdisciplinary at the intersection of performance, installation, sculpture, and curatorial practice. Their artistic approach investigates materialized gestures, deformed objects, and their social codes. The practice reflects queer historicity, collective rituals, and affective fragmentation. Oz engages threshold spaces — between institutions and intimacy, objects and action — as sites for friction and collective negotiation. Through artistic interventions, fixed meanings are destabilized, opening queer and intersectional perspectives.
- Oz Oderbolz studied Physical Theatre at Comart Zurich (2006–2009) and Fine Arts at Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK, 2019–2023). They received the Werkbeitrag of the Canton of Zurich (2024) and the Popkredit of the City of Zurich (2015).
