SQUIR
- SQUIR is an artistic-research group working in the fields of choreography, performance, and experimental education. Located in the intersection of community-building/activist social practices and expanded choreography, the collective is distinguished by its laboratory-like character. SQUIR emerged from the community of the Queer Academy of Movement and from a need for collective action, building bonds, and embodying queer-feminist theories. Its interests revolve around the ecology of environments (including labour), sustaining community in times of precarity and crisis, and working with the body through choreographic methodology and somatics.
- Currently, the group consists of: Alicja Czyczel, Bartosz Jakubowski, Zoe Jouissance, Jagna Nawrocka, Alek (Aleksandra) Sarna, Magdalena Siemaszko, Ida Ślęzak, Paulina Woźniczka.
