Diana Adhiambo Save the dilemma
Collection of poetry by Diana Adhiambo, a member of Cooperative Ushirika, was published as part of Gotong Royong: Things We Do Together exhibition at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art.
Diana Adhiambo was born in 1990 in Nakuru, Kenya. In 2009, she studied finance and econimics at the Kenyatta University. She is a member of Cooperative Ushirika, a socio-artistic project initiated in the slum city of Mathare in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, by Alicja Wysocka with the support of Pamoja Razem Foundation. From January 2017, the cooperative offers its members sewing skills, develops their creativity and provides them a place to work.
On an early April morning of 2017, three months after joining the Cooperative Ushirika, Diana wrote her first poems. This publication is her debut book. The total sales will go to the author.
