Piotr Bosacki
Płachta objaśnień

Płachta objaśnień [The Sheet of explanations] is a book of poetry consisting of thirty-seven poems. They are accompanied by commentaries, which are, in a sense, second-order poems. All of this is printed on a large sheet of paper. The whole thing resembles a mind map, a table of connections, or even a so-called conspiracy board. Poets are usually reluctant to explain why they constructed a given line or paragraph the way they did. Bosacki displays quite the opposite tendency. This likely has something to do with the fact that he is an art teacher and explaining forms is his professional activity. The author says: "These are poems that arose practically by accident, in the sense that every person who uses words has certain sentences running through their head, like obsessive melodies. I have sentences more or less like that running through my head. And since they are completely impractical, they are suitable only for degenerate prose or poetry."
