Satisfaction. Consumption Art from the Communist Poland of the 1970s
The set – a brochure, a poster, 2 DVDs – illustrating the state’s policy of seduction and corruption of the Polish society in the 1970s with a vision of "socialist consumerism." The relatively greater openness of the socialist system to Western lifestyle, especially to consumer goods and pop culture, was accompanied by the emergence of such phenomena as socialist pop culture or the red bourgeoisie. The processes in the Polish society of the day give an interesting context for Western sexual emancipation, criticism from society of the spectacle and the 1968 revolt.
