Gaga/people classes – Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art

• Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art and Gaga Movement Research Ltd. Invite you for Gaga Workshop for dancers and Gaga/people classes.

  • Gaga is the movement research developed by Ohad Naharin throughout many years, parallel to his work as a choreographer and the artistic director of Israel’s “Batsheva Dance Company”. Gaga provides a framework for discovering and strengthening the body and adding flexibility, stamina, agility, and skills including coordination and efficiency while stimulating the senses and imagination. Gaga has two tracks: Gaga/people, which is open to the general public and available for anyone, without the necessity of previous experience, and Gaga/dancers, which is open to professional dancers and dance students.
• Gaga/people lessons for anyone over 16 years old / include 3 Gaga lessons (about 60 minutes each).

• The workshop and classes will be led by Michal Sayfan, an independent Israeli dancer and Gaga teacher. Between 2008-2011 she danced in “Batsheva Dance Company”. From 2016-2018 she was the rehearsal director of “Batsheva – the Young Ensemble”, and from 2011-2016, she was the artistic director of the “Gaga Intensive” courses in Tel Aviv.

Sessions of Gaga/people are scheduled for 19 and 20/10 from 7:00 pm till 8:00 pm and on 21/10 from 4:00 pm until about 5:00 pm.
