Paweł Kruk
born on July 1, 1976 in Koszalin, Poland, performance and video artist Pawel Kruk holds a degree in drawing from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan, Poland. He participated in the Advanced Art Course with Marina Abramovic hosted by Fondazione Antonio Ratti in Como, Italy. and was granted several residencies, including one at CCA Kitakiushu, Japan and another at Headlands Center for the Arts, USA. He moved to San Francisco from Warsaw in 2008 and has been a permanent resident of the United States since. A finalist for the 2010 SECA Award at SFMOMA. In 2010 he was granted a residency at Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam, the Nederlands. In addition to several solo exhibitions in Poland and USA, his work has been featured in group exhibitions across the globe.
