- Konrad leads an amazing life. Internationally successful, he is in a relationship with Gosia, a famous actress. It seems that all his dreams have come true. When he suddenly and mysteriously loses his voice, it turns out that nothing is as it seems. His sister and mother come to his aid and soon discover that the apparently wonderful life was only an illusion. Konrad, used to his old ways, tries to turn everything into a joke, but it proves difficult without a voice. For the first time in his life, he has to face his close ones without the mask of a joke, and it soon becomes clear that it is not only him that has a lot to hide.
- Błażej Grzechnik’s feature debut is a bittersweet family story that surprises with its unpretentiousness and psychological accuracy. It is a film about the courage to search for self, about how much one must lose to gain what one really cares, how little we know about each other and how much we miss out on, even when living together. Finally, it’s a film about the truth that each of us needs.
