One Soul is a boldly acted, movingly human story about love, forgiveness and struggling with adversity and inner demons. Alojz (Dawid Ogrodnik) is born in 1990. At first, the mother (Dorota Kolak) plans to abandon the baby, but eventually returns to get her crying son. Years pass. Now grown up, he is a tough charismatic miner, a leader among his colleagues. However, his heavy alcohol use takes its daily toll on his wife Anna (Malgorzata Gorol) and their little sons. When, driven to the extreme, the woman decides to leave her husband, a life-changing event occurs.
