Recognised at the Sundance Film Festival, Amanda Kernell explores the relationship between Alice, a mother working in Stockholm, and her two children, who live with their father in the north of Sweden. Protracted custody process combined with local community’s ostracism push Alice to flee with her children to Tenerife for a short holiday. Will shortening the physical distance between mother and her children result in shortening the emotional distance as well?
