The Royal Hotel – Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art

The new film by one of the most interesting contemporary directors Kitty Green tells the story of two friends who, in search of temporary work, end up in the Australian outback, where their lives turn into a nightmare.

Hanna and Liv are backpacking around Australia. After running run out of money, Liv persuades her friend to take a temporary job as bartenders in The Royal Hotel pub in the country. The bar owner Billy and the locals introduce the girls to a peculiar, drunken atmosphere. Soon, however, the situation spirals out of control.
