The Second Act
The master of contemporary comedy, Quentin Dupieux – the creator of Deerskin and Rubber – returns with the funniest and most mind-bending film of the year, where truth blends with fiction, acting with real emotions, and cinema with reality. Let’s just say that the second act of The Second Act takes place in a restaurant called “The Second Act.” And from there, it only gets better.
Florence is obsessed with David, but David is not obsessed with Florence. So he asks a friend to lift the burden of unwanted love by seducing the annoying girl. They plan to set this scheme in motion during a meeting with Florence's father, in a shabby roadside restaurant.
In this extraordinary comedy, Dupieux is joined by a star-studded cast of French cinema. The lead roles are played by Léa Seydoux – known from the James Bond series and Blue Is the Warmest Colour – and Louis Garrel, beloved across Europe, who captivated audiences in The Dreamers.
