The Raspberry Reich
directed by Bruce LaBruce, Germany/Canada 2004, 90'
- The Raspberry Reich is an acclaimed underground film, screened at numerous festivals, whose authors mock ideological fanatism and generational rebellion.
- Raspberry Reich is an amateur terrorist group fascinated by the activity of the ‘70s Red Army Faction. The group has similar goals but uses completely different methods. Its leader, Gudrun, considers heterosexuality the source of all evil, so she decides to start a homosexual revolution. The group kidnaps the son of a wealthy industrialist and holds him hostage; at some point it turns out, however, that he has become sexually involved with one of the terrorists, which complicates matters even more.
