[Tiere], directed by Greg Zgliński, Austria/Poland/Switzerland 2017, 94' (English friendly)
In his newest film, Greg Zgliński tells the story of Nick and Anna, a couple who goes on a holiday to Switzerland to overcome their marital crisis. After a mysterious accident, the protagonists begin to experience bizarre visions—neither of them knows whether these individual events are actually taking place or whether they are taking place only in their minds. Zgliński can not only convincingly seduce the viewer, but can also joke about the accepted convention and enliven the film with a large dose of irony. This is undoubtedly one of the reasons why Animals delighted viewers during its premiere at the Berlin festival.
