Rejwach
- Clamour is intrinsic to the educational environment and simultaneously forms a kind of foundation for the current socio-political discourse. Today's visual culture of late capitalism thrives on constant noise, shouting, and chaos. Information and imagery reach us from all possible directions — from banners on buildings, personalised campaigns on social media, to the glow of a cold screen during evening rituals.
-
The diploma exhibition Rejwach is a collective term defining the framework of actions taken by graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw – their position in relation to current phenomena. It is equally a nostalgic journey into the past, a close observation of the present, and a speculation about the future.

The students navigate between what is physical and what is intangible. They enter ongoing discussions, anticipate them, or seek new positions from which to engage in dialogue. Their artistic works simultaneously express acceptance of and opposition to the existing realities. The Laboratory at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art becomes a space where the image enters into dialogue with objects marked by the passage of time or impersonal trauma. It becomes a site for experiencing the pace of the current system and reflecting on what is already fixed and certain. Not just a laboratory for experimentation, but a coherent exhibition space where the participants engage in a process of collaboration with an art institution.

-
The artists’ continuous play with oppositions reveals how art not only enables the exploration of culture visually but also facilitates movement within newly emerging fields, discussions, and theoretical considerations.
-
- Rejwach represents a complementary presentation of the graduates' profiles and a re-evaluation of the thinking behind the practice that is art. It reflects on the potential directions young artists may take and their uncertain participation in an ever-changing reality.
