Lars Vilks
“Freedom of art is a right to break the rules.”
- Lars Vilks was born in 1946 in Helsingborg in Sweden. He was an artist and art historian (PhD), living and working in hiding. He died tragically in a car accident on 3 October 2021. His artworks are currently being presented at Political Art exhibition. In an interview recorded before the opening he said
- “Freedom of art is a right to break the rules. Not just as metaphore, but actually breaking rules.”
