Frédéric Gies – Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art

"Technosomatics" is an original movement practice developed by Frédéric Gies, who shares it in workshops that are open to all who like to dance to techno music and are interested in exploring their bodies. It is based on the individual and collective exploration of the endocrine gland and the chakras through techno club dancing and, in reverse, exploring club dancing while focusing on glands and chakras. Gies offers another collective, social experience different from dancing on the dance floor: a safe space where you can escape social dictates, experience solitude together and enter different states of consciousness.
