Bartek Buczek
Villain
- Pinky: Gee, Brain, what do you want to do tonight?
- The Brain: The same thing we do every night, Pinky – try to take over the world!
- Armies of Scoundrels densely populate the pages of history. Their perverse obsession with rendering evil constitutes the meaning of the existence of boring Superheroes. A villain with a demonic smile on his face declares war on the stagnant order. Donning a fanciful dress and mask, once again, he sets off to come to grips with an unequal struggle about a worse tomorrow. The charm of a scoundrel-trickster creates an arsenal of faces, gestures, and poses. Under them, vain hopes of subjugating the world for oneself are hiding. As we know, the predictable good will triumph, condemning our favourite to a disgraceful defeat. In his works, Bartek Buczek follows and interprets the various attributes of the Superscoundrel. His character becomes his alter-ego, and the exhibition takes on the form of introverted excursions into the psyche of the comic book hero.
