- Akademie Schloss Solitude combines faith in artistic and academic exchange with the idea of a safe harbour. Akademie residencies allow participants to focus on developing projects in favourable material and intellectual conditions, thanks to which the available resources can be used in an optimal way. Schloss Solitude makes sure that artists can focus on their creative pursuits without having to worry about day-to-day stresses and the pressures of time.. These residences are an investment in the future that can bring delayed effects for both the resident and the institution.
- The residency programme at the Ujazdowski Castle Centre for Contemporary Art is a curatorial programme addressed to artists and curators coming to Poland from all over the world. We support our guests in the implementation of their artistic projects and encourage them to experiment in the fields of their choice. We understand residencies as a medium for artistic activity that allows artist to seek new ways of presentation other than the exhibition model. We conduct research projects mapping the city, collaborate with local communities and support the exchange of knowledge. We promote the idea of mobility within Poland and the broadly understood Eastern Europe.
- The Adam Mickiewicz Institute (IAM) is a state-funded cultural institution, whose mission is to present Polish culture and heritage on the international scene. The Institute collaborates with partners abroad and initiates international cultural exchange in dialogue with audiences in accordance with the state’s foreign policy. As part of its activities, the IAM has carried out cultural projects in 70 countries across 6 continents, incl. in Great Britain, France, Russia, Israel, Germany, Turkey, USA, Canada, Australia, Morocco, Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia, as well as in China, Japan and Korea. To date, it presented over 38 strategic programmes, seen by nearly 60 million viewers. The Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport organize the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. For a number of years, the Institute has been supporting, among others international dialogue in the field of visual arts. This seems particularly important at a time when the presence and recognition of an artist in the world is not only about the value of his art, but also its direct impact. The activities of the Institute include exhibitions, promotion of artistic events, initiation and effective delivery of research projects and – in cooperation with international publishing houses – supporting publications. It actively collaborates with foreign partners: curators, art critics, and galleries, resulting in the presence of Polish artists at renowned artistic events and residencies.
